Are The High Costs Of Diabetes Care Reasonable?
FYI: There is a very interesting (and long) article in the NYT today that is must reading if you are wondering why medical care costs so much these days. The article is entitled “Even small medical advances can mean big jumps in bills,” and was written by Elisabeth Rosenthal. I will do a proper entry about the subject later but I suggest you check out the article, particularly if you are interested in diabetes. It addresses the reasons why costs for diabetes care have generally decreased quite a bit over the past decade except for drugs and devices, which have skyrocketed. Check it out.
